(Everyone at my annual Christmas party)So I've been pretty busy lately. It all started with my Christmas party last Saturday. We had a great time! There was tons of great food and fun activities. I love hosting that party every year it's always a great event.
(Kris painting a Christmas ornament)On Sunday I woke up to find my computer had had a meltdown overnight. It was giving me Error unable to load operating system message. The first thing I thought was that my hard drive had died. So on Stuart's advice I went to Future Shop and bought a new hard drive and a USB hard drive case. He suggested I remove the old drive and put it in the case so that once I got the computer running again I might be able to retrieve my files off the old drive.
My Dad sent me some program that was meant to fix damaged hard drives. I ran the thing three times and it did not find one error on the hard drive. By this point it's Monday and I did some research on the error I was getting and found a possible fix. So I went home gave the fix a shot and it worked! YAY! Got my computer back online and didn't even need the new hard drive. I kept it anyway. I'm going to put all my disk images on there in case this happens again. Bloody falliable computers.
Sunday night while the program my Dad gave me was running I had Kris over. We ate the left over appetizers and painted Christmas ornaments while watching Harry Potter. He came over again on Monday and we watched the last two Harry Potter movies. Wednesday Auntie Carol and Kris came over and we watched Love Actually over hot chocolate and Kate's cookies.
Last night Kris and I went to see Joe and Lisa's friend Jason perform with his sketch group at a comedy club. Before that I dragged him with me while I finished my Christmas shopping. What a nice guy eh? I'm sure he had oodles of fun going from store to store with me.
Jason's group was awesome though. I thoroughly enjoyed them and the other sketch groups that performed.
Kris leaves to go back to Tbay next week. It was great having him around and we'll all be sad to see him leave.
